Annual Members' Meeting and Christmas Market

NewsAnnual Members' Meeting and Christmas Market

Save the date...

This year we're hosting one Annual Members' Meeting (AMM), which will take place on Thursday 8th December 2022.

Members will be welcome to join us in-person at The Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground. Doors will open at 5pm for our Christmas Market and exhibition, plus light refreshments will also be served on arrival. The members' meeting will start at 7pm.

There will be a short time after the meeting has finished for those joining us in person to revisit the Christmas Market and exhibition.

To make sure everyone has the chance to take part in the AMM, the meeting will also be broadcast online. This means if you choose to join us from home, you'll be able to watch the meeting, cast your vote on the motions* and submit questions for our Q&A session.

As a thank you, we'll be crediting members' dividend cards** with £5 to spend in-store after the event - that's a few festive treats on us!

To attend virtually or in-person, you'll need to book your place. Bookings open at 9am on Thursday 3rd November 2022.

Why are we not coming to other locations?

In previous years, we’ve hosted multiple AMMs around our trading area. Due to our accounting and auditing cycle, we are now required to host our AMM later than in previous years. As this is in the run up to Christmas and accounting for the fact that the weather at this time of year could pose logistical challenges for our team and members, we have decided to host one in-person meeting which will also be broadcast online.

We are planning to visit local areas, such as Gainsborough, Grimsby, Horncastle, Sleaford, Spalding and Newark, in March 2023 as part of a new series of events. Come along to find out how your local Co-op is performing and what we’re doing to help communities in and around your area. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet local producers and sample their products.

We want to hear your ideas on what else we can do to help locally. Look out for more information about these events early in the new year.

Important Information:

*You must have been a member for six months or more to vote.

**If you are joining us online, it is one device per person per vote, therefore the member signed into the broadcast will be who receives the £5 dividend.

Questions on the Directors’ Report, Auditor’s Report and Financial Statements must be submitted in writing to the Secretary at least 48 hours before the meeting.

Questions will be taken from both our in-person and online audience during the meeting although advance notice will help us provide more detailed answers.

For more information on submitting a question, please contact the Membership team on 01522 781 135 or email [email protected]
