About the role:

Our community pharmacies play a key part in caring for the health and wellbeing of our customers. As a Dispensing Technician you’ll be joining an enthusiastic and hardworking team of colleagues that work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients. Each day will be different, as duties range from being in the dispensary to ensure that the dispensing process runs without a hitch, to acting as the first point of contact for the health requirements of our customers. There are a wide range of duties in this role, including (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring the safe and effective running of the dispensary and coordinating your team to dispense medication accurately and efficiently.
  • Being a consistent and reliable leader for your team, supporting the Pharmacist to provide legal, ethical and safe decision-making.
  • Delivering and supporting the technical aspects of the dispensary, which may include stock-control, ordering medicines, labelling and dispensing.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to our patients through engaging conversations. Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs
  • Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through accepting and working deliveries and completing stock takes.

About You

It isn’t just about experience or knowledge; we’re looking for people with a genuine passion for customer care and who will be ambassadors for healthcare in our pharmacies. With a focus on accuracy and care in all aspects of your work, you’ll need to have:

  • Essential: A Level 3 Dispensary qualification (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when serving and advising patients
  • An enthusiasm and talent for problem solving, eager to take on new challenges and experiences
  • Previous experience as dependable leader and, able to organise and support your colleagues to ensure that the pharmacy runs smoothly every day.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you

 For this role, we're happy to consider a part time contract.
