About the role:

Our Post Offices offer a range of valued services to their local communities. Our Sorting Office Supervisors play a key role in ensuring that any mail received gets to where it needs to be. Working as part of a close-knit and hard-working team, sorting and maintaining the accuracy of any mail so that it is ready to be delivered correctly to the residents of your local community. You’ll also complete any associated paperwork and administration in an accurate and efficient manner to keep records up to date.

In this role you will carry out tasks which may include overseeing the sorting and delivery of all Royal Mail post received at the office whilst complying with society policies and procedures. You will be maintaining effective connections by communicating with colleagues and stakeholders. 
 

Please be aware that this role will involve periods of independent working, so you'll need to be comfortable working on your own initiative. As our sorting office is open 6 days a week, there will be a requirement to work 2 hours each day from Monday to Saturday. 

About You

Are you someone who thrives at working methodically and accurately? Whether you have previous experience in a post office or in an administration setting, we want to hear from you! We’ll provide all the necessary training you could need. We’re looking for someone with: 

  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to your work
  • Confident organisational and administration skills with a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work productively and efficiently on your own and as part of a team using excellent communication skills to get the job done
