About the role:

Gadsbys has been kneading, mixing and baking for over 50 years! From bread rolls to Bakewell tarts, all our delicious products are made with passion and pride. Our hardworking team work closely together to ensure that our quality products taste amazing, are made with skill and delivered fresh for our regular customers.

As a Packing Supervisor you'll be leading and working alongside a skilled team to motivate and encourage, ensuring the production of high quality products is maintained. You'll be leading by example by setting a pace that inspires, working closely with your colleagues in the bakery and the wider team to contribute to the effective day-to-day running. You'll also ensure that colleagues complete necessary training to maintain the standard of our products as well as coaching and supporting colleagues through regular one-to-one meetings.

In this role you will:

  • Motivate the team to ensure all items are picked and packed in a timely manner 
  • Complete all relevant paperwork 
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements and society policies 

You'll demonstrate an enthusiastic work ethic with high levels of attention to detail and ensure that everyone is always working to the highest health and safety standards.

Please be aware that this role includes operating machinery and working in the vicinity of very hot bakery ovens, so to apply you must be aged 18 years or over.

About You

We are looking for a professional and driven supervisor who has previous experience leading a team and who is keen to develop in their role and career. Additionally, you'll have:

  • A professional and approachable manner to build and maintain dependable working relationships
  • A natural drive and ambition to achieve targets
  • A Level 3 Food Safety qualification or similar is desirable but not essential as we can provide this
  • Excellent communication skills, able to be a role model for your team in delivering face-to-face interactions to a high standard.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to champion your own learning and development, and support your colleagues with their own career growth
