About the role:

Our colleagues in IT Infrastructure provide an efficient and dependable support service to all of our business areas. A crucial part of our support services, this team use their creative knowledge to support, identify and develop systems and processes across all of our business areas.

We’re looking for an IS Infrastructure Analyst to join us and assist our team with day-to-day operation for the security, resilience, backup, and monitoring of our infrastructure services. You'll be working on the design, delivery, and operational requirements of technological change across our services and with the team, you'll contribute towards the smooth introduction and integration of new and innovative technologies. You'll also support your colleagues with the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues affecting infrastructure hosted services.

Working either on your own initiative or with the team, you'll use your creative knowledge to support with identifying and developing systems and processes across all business areas. You'll attend sites across our business areas to carry out essential maintenance or installation and will be instrumental in supporting the move towards a more flexible and cost-efficient future using cloud providers.

About You

We are looking for a technically savvy and resourceful individual to join our team. If you like the sound of troubleshooting technical issues, finding and building solutions then this is could be the role for you! What we’d like to see from you is:

  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively using your own initiative and as part of a close-knit team to address and resolve IT problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A naturally organised approach to your work to manage multiple tasks with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with project management in a similar working environment. 
We'd be especially keen to hear from applicants who have knowledge of the following:
 
  • LAN and WAN configuration and diagnostics, including network services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP as well as Wi-Fi configuration and diagnostics.
  • Virtual server architecture, ideally with VMware and virtual desktop architecture, ideally with Citrix XenDesktop.
  • SAN architecture, ideally with NetApp and Cloud platform, Azure and AWS.Applying and reviewing firewall edge security policies.
  • Microsoft Operating Systems and applications, VoIP and SIP solutions and other backup technologies.

This role will involve travelling to our various offices and branches across our business area, therefore candidates will need to hold a full driving licence to be considered for this role.
