About the role:

Our food stores are at the heart of our communities and our colleagues work hard each day to make sure our stores are clean and full, ready to serve our customers and members. Our Store Development team contribute to this, working with the food store teams to create new shopping experiences for our communities alongside managing the refurbishment of our existing stores. 
 
In this role, you will oversee store development projects, with a focus on maintaining Health & Safety and merchandising standards. You will deputise for the Store Development Team Manager, leading and motivating the team on-site when the manager is off-site. Your responsibilities will include developing a full understanding of each project, managing risk assessments, and ensuring all tasks align with project schedules. You’ll also co-ordinate with the ranging team to confirm correct planograms and be actively involved in assembling and installing store equipment, coaching team members on best practices.
 
As the Store Development Team Leader, you will be responsible for the security, usage, and storage of team vehicles, tools, and equipment. A proactive approach will be essential, as you will identify business opportunities to support sales and improve customer satisfaction. Through your leadership, technical skills, and attention to detail, you will ensure that every project meets high standards of quality and excellence.

About You

To be successful in this role; you’ll be able to show us a proactive, enthusiastic team player with a confident approach and a genuine commitment to contributing to our Society’s success. While previous experience in a similar environment would be beneficial, we’re prepared to provide full training to help you excel in this role. You’re proficient in Office 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, which will enable you to handle day-to-day responsibilities with ease. 
 
To be considered for this role, you must hold a full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle for business use as travel will be required across our trading area. Any business miles travelled using your private vehicle will be reimbursed at the rate of 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles.
