About the role:

We’re proud to offer nearly 200 products in our Love Local range which includes tasty treats from our very own Gadsbys Bakery in Southwell. As a Gadsbys Packer you’ll be joining a team at the heart of the bakery, working closely together on a wide range of activities to get our freshly baked products ready for delivery to our local communities and beyond.

This role is a key part of a multi-skilled team covering a range of activities, such as assembling, packing, labelling, and quality checking our fresh breads and cakes. You will be responsible for:

  • Keeping pace with the production line to ensure customers receive fresh, quality products and ensure production targets are met.

  • Ensuring all our products meet the excellent standards of quality that our customers have come to expect and enjoy.
  • To maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in the bakery and assist with any housekeeping as needed.

Please be aware that this role includes operating machinery and working close to very hot bakery ovens, so to apply you must be aged 18 years or over.

We will need candidates to be flexible with their working hours where possible, which may include early morning starts, late night finishes and weekend work. We will discuss working hours in more detail with you at the interview stage.

About You

The bakery team at Gadsby's are hardworking and efficient, so it’s important to note that this role works in a fast-paced environment which can be demanding at times. Our packers often perform tasks involving lifting and twisting, so you’ll need to be comfortable making these repetitive movements.
