About the role:

Our community pharmacies play a key part in caring for the health and wellbeing of our customers. As the largest Co-operative Pharmacy group, our pharmacies offer so much more than just exceptional customer service! From prescriptions and flu vaccines to podiatry, we’re passionate about looking after the health needs of our patients.

Are you passionate about helping others and making a real difference in your community? As a Health Champion, you’ll be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team that puts patients at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our brand-new Community Health Hub, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the store floor and ensuring it’s fully stocked and ready to meet the needs of our customers.

Every day will bring variety — from engaging with patients on the counter to making sure our shelves are filled with the right products. You’ll play an important part in creating a positive, welcoming experience for everyone who visits.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service and health advice through warm, engaging conversations, ensuring every patient leaves feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.

  • Keeping the shop floor stocked, organised, and ready for customers by accepting and processing deliveries, and completing regular stock checks.

  • Supporting sales and general store operations, from creating eye-catching product displays to handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

Join us and take pride in knowing that the work you do every day helps improve health and wellbeing across your local community.

About You

It isn’t just about experience or knowledge; we’re looking for people with a genuine passion for customer service and who will be ambassadors for healthcare in our pharmacies. To be successful in joining our team, you’ll need to show us:

  • A natural ability to build meaningful relationships with both patients and colleagues
  • An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when serving and advising patients
  • An enthusiasm and talent for problem solving, eager to take on new challenges and experiences
  • A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you
  • Experience of working in a retail background and using a stock control system would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided

Benefits:

This is a great opportunity to develop your Pharmacy career and make a difference to the lives of our communities. In addition to working for a growing co-operative business, we offer our colleagues fantastic benefits, including:

  • Up to 30 days annual leave (pro-rata) including bank holidays)
  • Pension scheme (with up to 12% employer contributions)
  • Generous colleague discount rates across our family of businesses

  • Free tea and coffee provisions for all colleagues during rest breaks at work
  • Wellbeing initiatives and community engagement opportunities

As your experience grows, you’ll have the opportunity to build the skills necessary to further progress your career and help to open up future opportunities.
