About the role:

At Lincolnshire Co-op, we’re passionate about using technology responsibly and securely to support our members, colleagues and communities. Our IT and Digital teams play a vital role in enabling innovation and ensuring our systems are safe, resilient and reliable. Within that, our Cyber Security function is key to protecting the Society’s data, systems and people — helping us deliver our purpose with confidence in an increasingly complex digital world.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT team and help protect our people, systems and data. You’ll be at the front line of protecting our systems and data, monitoring and responding to security events and helping deliver our cyber security strategy.

In this role, you’ll manage SIEM and EDR platforms, optimise Azure/Entra ID security settings and perform threat hunting and incident analysis. You’ll provide actionable recommendations, support incident resolution and help strengthen our security posture across cloud and on-premise environments.

Collaboration is key—you’ll work with IT teams, business units and suppliers, ensuring compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials. You’ll maintain and improve documentation, SOPs and incident reports, while staying ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities to enhance our cyber defence.

If you’re passionate about protecting people and data in a dynamic, purpose-led environment, this is the role for you.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Cyber Security Analyst with a strong technical background and a proven track record in protecting systems and data. You’ll have hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Intune for identity and access management, conditional access and security configuration, as well as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or similar EPP/EDR solutions. You’ll be confident using SIEM platforms, ideally Google Security Operations (Chronicle), Sentinel, Splunk, or equivalent, to detect and respond to threats across cloud and on-premise environments.

In this role, you’ll also bring:

  • Solid understanding of threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management principles.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, including firewalls, proxies and endpoint hardening.
  • Awareness of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and NCSC guidance.
  • Ability to interpret and act on insights from security tooling, alerts and threat intelligence feeds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as BSc in Cybersecurity, CompTIA Security+, (ISC)² SSCP, CEH, GSEC, or Microsoft SC-200.

You’ll thrive in a collaborative team environment, working with IT colleagues, business units and suppliers to strengthen security practices, resolve incidents effectively and ensure best practice is embedded across the organisation.
