Help people feel supported from the very start
You notice when someone needs a clear answer.
You value the small details.
The reassuring response.
The organised support that helps colleagues feel in good hands.
At Lincolnshire Co-op, people are at the heart of everything we do—and our People team helps make sure colleagues feel informed, supported and cared for.
We’re looking for a People Assistant to join our People team, supporting colleagues and managers with the everyday moments that help work feel simple, organised and positive.
Because when people have the right support, they can do their best work.
Where care and organisation come together
Every conversation matters.
From answering colleague queries to keeping records up to date, the support behind the scenes helps people feel confident and connected.
Working as part of our People team, you’ll help keep things moving—making sure information is accurate, processes run smoothly and colleagues get the help they need.
Because this role isn’t only about administration.
It’s about supporting people with care, accuracy and understanding.
Where helpfulness meets attention to detail
You’ll work with the information, systems and queries that colleagues depend on—making sure every detail is handled carefully and every interaction leaves a positive impression.
One day, you might be responding to colleague questions or updating people records.
The next, supporting absence administration, contract changes or helping the wider team with an important people process.
You’ll focus on:
- Responding to colleague and manager queries in a warm, helpful and professional way
- Maintaining people records so information is accurate, current and carefully managed
- Helping with everyday people activity, including absence administration, contract changes and leavers
- Producing letters, documents and updates that are clear, accurate and well-presented
- Supporting the People team with tasks that keep processes moving smoothly
- Developing your understanding of people policies, procedures and ways of working
Because this role isn’t just about keeping things organised.
It’s about helping people feel supported.
