What if your next role didn’t just keep things organised, but helped protect how an entire organisation operates?
At Lincolnshire Co-op, strong governance and compliance are about more than policies, registers and reporting. They help us make responsible decisions, manage risk and maintain the trust of our colleagues, members and communities.
That’s where you come in.
Ready to make a difference behind the scenes?
This isn’t a typical administrative role.
As our Governance and Compliance Assistant, you’ll help ensure our governance, compliance and regulatory arrangements remain accurate, effective and fit for purpose.
Working closely with our Head of Legal and Compliance, you’ll provide the practical support that keeps important processes moving. You’ll maintain essential records, monitor actions, prepare reports and help us understand and respond to changes in legislation and regulation.
You’ll also contribute to some of the Society’s most important governance activities, including our Annual Members’ Meeting, Annual Report and Director Elections.
In this role, you will:
-
- Support the identification, assessment and monitoring of regulatory and compliance risks.
-
Help maintain our governance and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
-
Prepare materials and provide administrative support for key governance activities.
-
Maintain important registers, including conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, breaches and incidents.
-
Gather information for quarterly legal and regulatory horizon-scanning reports.
-
Track actions and deadlines, making sure progress is recorded accurately.
-
Prepare clear compliance reports and dashboards for senior leaders.
-
Support the delivery of compliance training and monitor completion.
-
Respond to straightforward questions from colleagues, providing clear and practical guidance.
-
Suggest improvements to processes, templates and controls.
You won’t be doing this in isolation. You’ll work with colleagues across the Society, as well as the wider Corporate Confidence and Assurance team, helping governance and compliance become part of how we work every day.
