Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field — or significant relevant experience.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Proven experience leading SOC operations, incident response, and threat intelligence functions.
  • Strong knowledge of network and infrastructure security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and IAM solutions.
  • Experience with encryption, DLP, tokenisation, and regulatory compliance, including GDPR.
  • A track record of designing and delivering enterprise-wide security strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborative skills, working across multi-disciplinary teams including IT, Legal, Risk, and external partners.
  • Commercial and financial acumen in managing cyber security budgets, tools, and vendors.
  • Adaptability to rapidly evolving threats, regulatory landscapes, and technology innovations.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical risks for executive audiences and influence decision-making.
  • Proven team leadership and mentoring experience, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

This role requires someone who is both technically strong and highly collaborative, able to inspire teams while guiding the organisation through an ever-changing security landscape. If you’re ready to lead cyber security at Lincolnshire Co-op and make a real difference in protecting our community’s digital future, we want to hear from you.
