As a PCN Pharmacist your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritising patient care, seeing patients with one or multiple medical problems where medicine optimism is required, and undertaking clinical medical reviews to make recommendations to the Senior PCN Pharmacist.
- Working closely with GPs, and other practicing heath care professionals where appropriate, answering any patient medicine questions they have.
- Undertaking clinical audits of prescribing in areas directed by the GPs, communicating results and implementing changes.
- Managing the repeat prescribing reauthorisation process by clinical review of patient requests in line with review dates, and flagging those needing review.
- Training and developing the primary healthcare teams on therapeutics and medicines optimism.
- Ensuring legal compliance within the pharmacy, reviewing labels, doses, and securing inventories-controlled drugs in line with regulations.
- Offering health-screening including blood-pressure monitoring, diabetes screening flu and other vaccine administration.
