About the role:

We are seeking a highly capable and organised IT Project Manager to join our IT team within our purpose-led Co-operative society. In this role, you will manage and deliver IT projects that drive key strategic initiatives and enhance business operations across our society. As part of our IT function, you’ll form and lead cross-functional project teams with business stakeholders, technology vendors and partners, and other parts of our IT team to ensure project goals are met. We aim for drama-free delivery, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams and our Project Management Office, you will define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. You’ll develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, tracking progress while ensuring alignment with business goals. Managing risks, dependencies, and changes will be critical, as will regular communication with stakeholders to keep them informed and expectations aligned.

Budget management will also be a key aspect, requiring you to forecast, track costs, and ensure value for money. Additionally, you’ll work closely with third-party vendors, partners, and contractors, negotiating robust contracts and ensuring timely delivery of assets and services. Through effective collaboration with all stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards, while maintaining focus on business priorities and achieving measurable results.

About You

 To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us:

  • Demonstrable proficiency in managing the complete lifecycle of IT projects using Waterfall, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
  •  Familiarity with IT systems, software development processes and/ or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in managing third party partners, vendors or contractors as part of a project team.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and build strong, collaborative working relationships. Your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities allow you to anticipate potential risks, address challenges proactively, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure projects remain on track. You’ll be highly organised and detail-oriented, you’ll demonstrate managing competing priorities while maintaining a committed focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
