About the role:

At our community pharmacies, we do more than just fill prescriptions – we play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our customers every day. As the largest Co-operative Pharmacy group, our branches go beyond exceptional customer service. From flu vaccines and prescriptions to podiatry services, we’re passionate about helping our patients stay healthy and confident.

We’re looking for a Relief Pharmacy Services Assistant to join our enthusiastic, hardworking team. In this role, you’ll make a real difference to the lives of our patients while gaining experience across multiple branches in North Lincolnshire, including Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and surrounding villages. Every day is varied, giving you the chance to be involved in a wide range of rewarding tasks, such as:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service – providing advice and support through friendly, engaging conversations.
  • Caring for our patients– ensuring every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Keeping the pharmacy running smoothly – managing stock, working deliveries, and completing stock takes to ensure shelves are always ready for customers.
  • Supporting the dispensary – helping with the safe and accurate supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, dispensing and assisting with prescription collections.
  • Assisting with store duties – from creating eye-catching product displays to handling cash transactions, your contribution helps the branch thrive.

If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and making a positive impact on people’s health, this role is the perfect opportunity to be part of a pharmacy team that truly cares.

About You

It isn’t just about experience or knowledge; we’re looking for people with a genuine passion for customer service and who will be ambassadors for healthcare in our pharmacies. To be successful in joining our team, you’ll need to show us:

A natural ability to build meaningful relationships with both patients and colleagues
An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when serving and advising patients
An enthusiasm and talent for problem solving, eager to take on new challenges and experiences
A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you
Experience of working in a retail background and using a stock control system would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided
As travel will be required within this role, you will need access to a vehicle for business use

For this role, we’re looking for someone who already has their Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification or higher.

Benefits:

This is a great opportunity to develop your Pharmacy career and make a difference to the lives of our communities. In addition to working for a growing co-operative business, we offer our colleagues fantastic benefits, including:
