  • About the role:

  • What if your next pharmacy role gave you the opportunity to lead a team, make a genuine difference to your community and develop your career with a pharmacy group that puts people at the heart of everything it does?

At Lincolnshire Co-op, we believe community pharmacy is about much more than dispensing prescriptions.

Our pharmacies are at the heart of local communities, providing expert clinical care, accessible health services and trusted advice to the people we serve.

As a Pharmacist Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care, leading and developing your team, and ensuring your pharmacy continues to provide a safe, professional and welcoming service.

    What will you be doing?

As a Pharmacist Manager, you'll combine your clinical expertise with strong leadership and commercial awareness to make sure your pharmacy delivers for both its patients and its colleagues.

    In this role, you will:

    • Lead, support and develop your pharmacy team, creating a positive environment where colleagues can learn, grow and perform at their best.
    • Deliver safe, effective and high-quality clinical care, including the provision of prescriptions, medicines and pharmacy services.
    • Build trusted relationships with patients, members, healthcare professionals and the wider community.
    • Champion and deliver a range of NHS and locally commissioned pharmacy services, helping people access the care and support they need.
    • Ensure the highest standards of patient safety, clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operation of your pharmacy, including stock management, controlled drugs, record keeping and pharmacy processes.
    • Work collaboratively with local healthcare professionals and community partners to support positive patient outcomes.
    • Create an exceptional customer experience by combining your professional expertise with genuine care and compassion.
    • Take a commercially aware approach to pharmacy management, balancing excellent patient care with the effective performance of your pharmacy.
    • Identify opportunities to improve services, processes and the overall experience for patients and colleagues.

You won't be doing this alone. You'll be supported by a wider network of pharmacy professionals, managers and specialist teams who are passionate about community healthcare and developing our colleagues.

    • You have confidence in delivering pharmacy services and providing professional clinical advice.
    • You enjoy building trusted relationships with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
    • You're passionate about developing people and creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
    • You're able to lead by example and inspire others through your professionalism, knowledge and commitment to high standards.
    • You're commercially aware and understand how to balance excellent patient care with strong pharmacy performance.
    • You're organised and able to manage the demands of a busy community pharmacy environment.
    • You're committed to maintaining high standards of patient safety, governance and regulatory compliance.
    • You're motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities you serve.

Whether you're an experienced Pharmacist Manager or an ambitious pharmacist looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

    Why this role matters

Community pharmacies are an essential part of local healthcare.

Every day, people rely on us for expert advice, reassurance, treatment and support. As a Pharmacist Manager, you'll be at the heart of that service — making sure patients receive the highest standards of care while supporting your team to succeed.

You'll have the opportunity to influence:

    • How patients experience their local pharmacy.
    • How your pharmacy delivers clinical and healthcare services.
    • How your colleagues develop and grow.
    • How your pharmacy contributes to the health and wellbeing of its local community.
    • How your pharmacy performs and continues to improve.

Most importantly, you'll help us deliver on our purpose of bringing together ideas, energy and resources to make life better in our communities.

    What you'll get in return

Alongside the opportunity to lead a pharmacy and make a genuine difference to people's lives, you'll receive:

    • Up to 34 days annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
    • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
    • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
    • Annual discretionary performance-based bonuses.
    • Full reimbursement of your GPhC fees.
    • Access to a wide range of professional development opportunities.
    • Opportunities to work as a Clinical Pharmacist or Independent Prescriber within GP surgeries and community hospitals.
    • Free tea and coffee during rest breaks.
    • Wellbeing support and community engagement opportunities.

We're also proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to helping colleagues learn, develop and build rewarding careers.

Through our close partnership with the University of Lincoln School of Pharmacy, you'll also have access to unique development opportunities, with some of our pharmacists working as Teacher Practitioners to support the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

    A final thought...

You've probably seen Pharmacist Manager roles before.

But we're looking for pharmacists who want to do more than simply manage a pharmacy.

Whether you're already an experienced leader or ready to take the next step, this is an opportunity to lead a team, develop your career, deliver outstanding healthcare and make a real difference in your local community.

If that sounds like the kind of pharmacy career you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
