  • About the role:

  • What if your next role helped shape the prices, promotions and products our customers see every day?

As a Commercial Assistant, you'll be at the heart of keeping our commercial operation running smoothly. From supporting promotions and pricing to helping products reach our stores, your work will make a real difference behind the scenes, ensuring our colleagues have what they need to deliver great service to our communities.

No two days are quite the same. One day you could be checking promotional data, analysing pricing trends and spotting opportunities to improve performance. The next, you'll be working with suppliers, stores and internal teams to resolve queries, coordinate deliveries and keep everything moving efficiently.

You'll enjoy this role if you like solving problems, working with data and building strong relationships. Accuracy matters, but so does curiosity – we're looking for someone who enjoys asking questions, finding better ways of working and making things happen.

What you'll be getting involved in

    • Supporting the delivery of accurate pricing, promotions and supply chain administration so everything runs smoothly.
    • Monitoring data, identifying trends and helping protect commercial performance through accurate reporting and insight.
    • Working closely with stores, suppliers and colleagues across the business to resolve queries and keep products flowing to the right place at the right time.
    • Helping improve processes, maintaining accurate records and contributing ideas that make our commercial operation even better.

If you're organised, enjoy working with numbers and data, and love being part of a team that keeps a business moving, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

  • About You

  • Someone who loves keeping things organised

This is a role where attention to detail, organisation and great communication are just as important as commercial awareness.

You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Whether you're coordinating promotions, resolving supplier queries or analysing commercial data, you'll be someone who enjoys staying one step ahead and takes pride in getting the details right. Previous experience in an administration, commercial, retail or supply chain environment would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in people who are eager to learn and develop.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

    • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Confidence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, and the ability to work with data accurately.
    • Strong attention to detail, ensuring pricing, promotions and commercial information are always accurate.
    • Great communication skills, building positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to investigate issues and suggest improvements.
    • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for smarter and more efficient ways of working.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make a real difference. You'll take pride in supporting colleagues, keeping everything running smoothly and helping deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

    Benefits that help you grow

Alongside the opportunity to play an important role in supporting our Commercial Team and making a real impact across our business, you'll receive a benefits package that's just as rewarding:

    • 30 days' annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
    • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
    • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
    • An annual discretionary colleague bonus in recognition of your contribution.

We're also proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to helping colleagues learn, develop and build rewarding careers. As your confidence grows, you'll have opportunities to develop new skills, take on new challenges and progress your career with us. Whether you're looking to build long-term expertise or take the next step in your career, we'll support you every step of the way.

Ready to help keep our Commercial Team moving?

If you're excited by the opportunity to support a busy commercial function, enjoy working with data and people and also want to play a key role in delivering great outcomes for our colleagues and customers, we'd love to hear from you.
