    As a Property Surveyor, you'll help manage and develop a diverse property portfolio, providing professional advice, maintaining strong relationships with tenants and contractors, and supporting projects that maximise the long-term value of our estate. Working across multiple business areas, you'll play a key role in ensuring our properties continue to support the Society's ambitions while delivering real value to our communities.

    A role where no two properties are ever the same

    Everyday brings a new challenge, one day you could be carrying out property inspections, meeting with tenants or overseeing maintenance works. The next you might be negotiating lease renewals, supporting redevelopment projects, analysing market trends or advising colleagues on compliance and property legislation. Whether you're helping improve the performance of existing assets or supporting future investment opportunities, you'll be making a lasting impact across the Society's property portfolio.

    You'll work closely with colleagues, contractors, tenants and external partners, building trusted relationships while ensuring our properties remain safe, compliant and positioned to support the future success of Lincolnshire Co-op.

    As a Property Surveyor, you'll:

    • Manage and maintain a diverse commercial and residential property portfolio.
    • Carry out property inspections and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
    • Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors and property professionals.
    • Support lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals and property agreements.
    • Deliver professional property advice and accurate reporting to support business decisions.
    • Identify opportunities to improve assets, reduce costs and maximise long-term property performance.
    • Support refurbishment, redevelopment and sustainability projects across the Society.
    • Help ensure our properties continue to serve colleagues, customers and communities for years to come.

    You don't need to have worked within a retail organisation to be successful in this role.

    What matters most is your ability to manage a varied property portfolio, build trusted relationships and provide professional advice that helps our colleagues and communities succeed.

    We are seeking a qualified Property Surveyor with an appropriate degree-level qualification and ideally experience in property management. As a member of the RICS, you will have a strong understanding of commercial and residential landlord and tenant law, as well as health and safety regulations related to property.

    You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, balancing commercial priorities with compliance and taking ownership of a diverse workload. Whether you're carrying out inspections, managing lease negotiations or supporting property projects, you'll be motivated by delivering high standards and making a lasting impact across our estate.

    You'll likely bring:

  • - RICS membership and a relevant degree-level qualification in Property or Surveying.
  • - Experience managing commercial and residential property portfolios.
  • - Knowledge of landlord and tenant law, property compliance and health and safety.
  • - Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • - Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • - Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • - A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
