  • About the role:

  • We’re expanding our IT team and looking for an enthusiastic Application Analyst to join us! In this role, you’ll take ownership of a subset of applications within the Society’s portfolio, managing them through their entire lifecycle. Working closely with the Applications Manager, you’ll ensure application performance, reliability, and drive continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to a thriving team and making a real difference in how we operate.

    Key responsibilities include managing application-related incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence. You will conduct regular maintenance activities such as upgrades, patching, and performance tuning while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards. By monitoring application performance and availability, you will proactively address issues and generate insightful reports to support decision-making.

    Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll work with suppliers to resolve technical issues, implement updates or enhancements, and evaluate supplier performance. Sharing knowledge and best practices with the IT team, you will enhance our application management capabilities and maintain comprehensive documentation for assigned applications.

  • About You

  •  To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us:
    • Proven experience as an Applications Analyst or in a similar role.
    • Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks.
    • Experience with specific applications or technologies relevant to the Society's portfolio. Including but limited to: Microsoft Technologies, SQL, iOS, VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix, Netapp, Palo Alto, Dell, Aruba, Anti-Virus technologies, SaaS solutions 
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and maintenance practices.
     
    You'll need proven experience in supporting change projects and managing application-related incidents. You'll also bring excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
