  • About the role:

  • What if your next role helped improve the health and wellbeing of your local community?

As a Health Champion, you'll do much more than support a pharmacy. You'll inspire healthier lifestyles, raise awareness of important health campaigns and help customers access the advice and services they need to live healthier lives. Every conversation you have could make a lasting difference to someone's wellbeing.

No two days are the same. One day you could be carrying out basic health checks, supporting a national health campaign or helping a customer find the right healthcare service. The next, you might be working alongside colleagues and community partners, promoting wellbeing events or encouraging customers to make positive lifestyle changes.

You'll be a friendly face, a trusted source of information and a passionate advocate for better health. Working closely with your pharmacy team and colleagues across the Society, you'll help bring health campaigns to life while ensuring customers receive a welcoming, compassionate and professional experience.

What you'll be getting involved in

    • Supporting and delivering health promotion campaigns, helping raise awareness of important health issues within your local community.
    • Carrying out basic health checks, providing customers with information and signposting them to the appropriate healthcare services where needed.
    • Working closely with pharmacy colleagues and community partners to promote healthier lifestyles and improve access to wellbeing support.
    • Representing the pharmacy at local events, maintaining engaging health displays and helping create an environment where customers feel confident seeking advice.
    • Continuing to build your knowledge through training, staying up to date with current health initiatives and finding new ways to make a positive impact.

If you're passionate about helping people, enjoy building relationships and want to play an important role in improving the health of your local community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

  • About You

  • Someone who's passionate about making a difference

This is a role where compassion, confidence and a genuine desire to help others are essential.

You'll enjoy speaking to people from all walks of life, making them feel welcome and supported. Whether you're promoting a health campaign, carrying out a basic health check or helping someone access the right healthcare service, you'll be someone who enjoys building trust and making a positive impact every day. Previous experience in a customer-facing, healthcare or community role would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in people who are passionate about improving the wellbeing of others and eager to learn.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

    • A friendly, approachable and caring nature, with a genuine passion for supporting people.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers in conversations about health and wellbeing.
    • The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, healthcare professionals and members of the local community.
    • Good organisation skills, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
    • A proactive attitude, taking ownership of activities and looking for opportunities to promote healthier lifestyles.
    • A willingness to learn, develop new skills and stay up to date with health campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.

We're looking for someone who enjoys making a real difference in their community. You'll take pride in helping people feel informed, supported and empowered to make positive choices about their health while creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable asking for advice.

    Benefits that help you grow

Alongside the opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of your local community, you'll receive a benefits package that's just as rewarding:

    • 30 days' annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
    • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
    • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
    • An annual discretionary colleague bonus in recognition of your contribution.

We're also proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to helping colleagues learn, develop and build rewarding careers. As your confidence grows, you'll have opportunities to gain new qualifications, develop your healthcare knowledge and build a rewarding career with us. Whether you're taking your first step into community health or looking to develop your existing experience, we'll support you every step of the way.

    Ready to champion healthier communities?

If you're excited by the opportunity to inspire healthier lifestyles, support your local community and make a meaningful difference to people's lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.
