  • About the role:

  •  Accuracy that keeps everything moving

What if your next role helped ensure every payment, every invoice and every supplier relationship runs smoothly across Lincolnshire Co-op?

We’re proud of the difference we make in our communities. From supporting local causes and providing valued services to helping people through some of life's most important moments, our colleagues make that difference every day.

Behind every service we deliver is a network of people, processes and partnerships working seamlessly together.

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to play a key role in keeping that network running efficiently, ensuring our financial processes are accurate, reliable and trusted across the Society.

Because great finance isn’t just about numbers.

    It’s about attention to detail.
    It’s about strong relationships.
    It’s about keeping everything moving.

    The detail matters here

Every invoice processed, every payment made and every reconciliation completed contributes to the smooth running of our business.

In this role, you’ll support the Accounts Payable function by ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, supplier records are maintained and queries are resolved efficiently.

You’ll be working as part of a small, collaborative team, where consistency, accuracy and shared responsibility are key.

You’ll also build strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers across the organisation, helping to ensure issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

    Keeping processes running smoothly

Of course, processing invoices is part of the role. You’ll manage high volumes of invoices and credit notes, ensuring they are coded correctly and recorded within finance systems in line with agreed processes.

But that’s only part of the picture.

You’ll also support supplier payment runs, assist with reconciliations and review transaction reports to identify any discrepancies. From preparing supplier statement reconciliations to investigating routine differences, your work will help maintain financial accuracy and integrity across the business.

    Alongside this, you’ll:

    • Monitor incoming invoices and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
    • Support the preparation and processing of supplier payments
    • Handle supplier payment queries, resolving routine issues and escalating where needed
    • Maintain accurate, organised and audit-ready records
    • Assist with weekly reporting and reconciliations

There will be opportunities to contribute to process improvements, suggest solutions and help enhance how we deliver Accounts Payable services.

It’s a role that combines organisation, attention to detail and collaboration.

  • About You

  • The person behind the process

This is a detail-focused role, so experience is important.

You’ll have previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar environment, with confidence managing high volumes of work and multiple deadlines.

    You’ll also bring:

    • Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
    • Confidence using Office 365 and finance systems
    • The ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and suppliers
    • A proactive, solution-focused approach to resolving queries
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
    • A collaborative mindset, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism

You’ll be someone who takes ownership of your work, looks for ways to improve processes and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable results.

Most importantly, you’ll understand the impact your work has on the wider organisation.

    What adds up for you

Accounts Alongside the opportunity to play a key role in supporting our financial operations, you’ll receive:

      • 30 days annual leave (pro-rata), including bank holidays
      • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions
      • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses
      • Free tea and coffee during rest breaks
      • Access to development opportunities to help you grow your career

We’re proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to developing our colleagues and supporting them to build rewarding careers.

As your confidence grows, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills, contribute ideas and progress within the organisation.

Ready to balance your next move?

If you’re someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys working with detail and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you.

A full job description is available to download on this page, including further details about the responsibilities, experience and skills required for the role.

Whilst this role is advertised as full time, we are also happy to consider applications for part time.
