  • About the role:

  • What if your next role could help shape how our pharmacies operate?

Our Pharmacy teams are at the heart of the communities we serve. But behind every great pharmacy team is the right support, guidance and challenge to help them perform at their best.

    That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Pharmacy Area Support Assistant to work alongside our Pharmacy Area Manager, supporting our pharmacies across the area to deliver great services, strong operational standards and an excellent experience for our customers and patients.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are likely to look the same. You’ll work with pharmacy teams, support colleagues, local partners and managers, helping turn ideas into action and spotting opportunities to make things work even better.

So, what will you be doing?

You’ll be a key support to the Pharmacy Area Manager, helping pharmacies deliver their plans and continuously improve.

    You could be:

    • Supporting pharmacy teams with operational challenges and finding practical solutions
    • Helping introduce and improve NHS and private pharmacy services
    • Building relationships with pharmacy teams, central support functions and local partners such as GP practices
    • Helping teams make the most of their skills and resources to deliver great service
    • Supporting staffing, recruitment and resource planning across our pharmacies
    • Coaching and developing colleagues, helping them build their confidence and capabilities
    • Supporting performance management and other HR processes
    • Monitoring service KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping teams achieve their goals
    • Carrying out audits and supporting pharmacies with compliance, quality and regulatory requirements
    • Helping pharmacies prepare for inspections and ensuring they’re meeting the standards we expect
    • Sharing great ideas and best practice across our pharmacies
    • Supporting commercial activity and merchandising to help our pharmacies perform
    • Getting involved in projects that improve our processes, services and customer experience

Ultimately, you’ll help our pharmacy teams work smarter, develop their skills and deliver the best possible service to our communities.
