Keep our technology connected, reliable and ready
Technology works best when people, systems and services work together.
From servers and networks to cloud services, virtual environments and end-user technology, our infrastructure provides the foundations that colleagues across Lincolnshire Co-op rely on every day.
We’re looking for an IT Infrastructure Team Leader to lead the day-to-day delivery of our infrastructure services and helping to keep our technology secure, resilient and performing at its best.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people and keeping things moving. You’ll coordinate the work of our Infrastructure Analysts, balancing business-as-usual activity, incidents, maintenance and project work to make sure our services continue to meet the needs of the Society.
Because great IT isn’t just about the technology.
It’s about bringing people together to make sure that technology works when they need it.
Where leadership meets technology
Every day will bring something different. You could be coordinating the response to an infrastructure incident, reviewing work queues and priorities, supporting a major change or helping resolve a complex technical issue.
You’ll monitor infrastructure services and recurring issues, making sure potential problems are identified early and that the right action is taken to maintain service availability and performance.
You’ll also work closely with colleagues across Support, Solution Delivery, Cyber and Applications, as well as third-party suppliers and service partners. Whether you’re coordinating maintenance, supporting a project or managing an escalation, you’ll help make sure teams are working together and that service expectations are met.
And when something goes wrong, you’ll play a key role in bringing people together to restore services, support root cause analysis and keep stakeholders informed.
Alongside the operational side of the role, you’ll help us continually improve how we work — from reviewing service performance and recurring issues to introducing better ways of working and strengthening technical knowledge across the team.
Where your leadership makes a real difference
You’ll lead and support our Infrastructure Analysts, creating clear priorities and helping the team deliver reliable, consistent infrastructure services.
You’ll focus on:
- Leading the day-to-day activity of Infrastructure Analysts, allocating work and balancing business-as-usual activity, incidents and agreed project tasks
- Coordinating infrastructure tickets and work queues, ensuring requests are prioritised, progressed within agreed service levels and escalated where needed
- Responding to major incidents and escalated infrastructure issues, coordinating technical recovery, supporting Root Cause Analysis and keeping the Infrastructure Manager informed
- Supporting infrastructure changes, upgrades, maintenance and projects, working with IT teams and third-party suppliers to maintain service continuity
- Monitoring service and ticket performance, identifying recurring issues and recommending practical improvements
- Developing team capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and practical support with systems, processes and new technologies
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation, runbooks and records to support consistent service delivery
- Providing operational cover for the Infrastructure Manager when required, working within agreed delegated authority
Your leadership will help us deliver our purpose: bringing together energy, ideas and resources to make life better in our communities.
