Someone who takes pride in getting every detail right
This is a role where accuracy, professional judgement and a genuine commitment to patient safety go hand in hand.
You'll understand that every prescription you check matters. Whether you're carrying out final accuracy checks, identifying potential issues or working with colleagues and prescribers to resolve queries, you'll take pride in making sure patients receive their medication safely and accurately.
You'll be confident using your pharmacy knowledge and professional judgement, while also being someone who works well with others, communicates clearly and remains calm and professional in a busy environment. You'll care about doing things right and understand the importance of maintaining high standards of confidentiality, quality and patient care.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
- Good pharmacy knowledge and professional judgement, with the confidence to identify and resolve prescription anomalies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, patients, customers and healthcare professionals.
- A professional and caring approach, with a clear understanding of confidentiality and the importance of protecting patient information.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage your responsibilities effectively in a busy pharmacy environment.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to ongoing learning, development and maintaining professional standards.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you already hold a GPhC-recognised Accuracy Checking Technician qualification and are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
We're looking for someone who understands that being a Checking Technician is about more than checking prescriptions. It's about using your knowledge, experience and attention to detail to help keep patients safe and support the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service every day.
Benefits that help you grow
Alongside the opportunity to use your pharmacy expertise to make a genuine difference to patients and your local community, you'll receive a benefits package that's just as rewarding:
- 30 days' annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
- A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
- Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
- An annual discretionary colleague bonus in recognition of your contribution.
We're also proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to helping colleagues learn, develop and build rewarding careers. Whether you're looking to continue developing your pharmacy expertise or take the next step in your career, we'll support you with ongoing training and opportunities to grow within Lincolnshire Co-op.
