  • About the role:

  • Delivering care to our communities, one journey at a time

Behind every prescription delivered to a patient is a team working together to make sure medicines reach the right people safely, securely and on time.

We’re looking for a Pharmacy Home Driver to help our pharmacy team deliver medicines to patients and collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries, providing a reliable and confidential service to our local communities.

This is a role where care, organisation and responsibility matter. From completing daily vehicle safety checks to planning delivery routes and handling patient information discreetly, you’ll play an important part in helping patients access the medicines they need.

It’s about more than getting from A to B. It’s about making a difference to people’s everyday lives through a safe, dependable and professional service.

Helping our patients get the care they need

Every delivery starts with careful preparation.

As a Pharmacy Home Driver, you’ll make sure your vehicle is clean, safe and suitable for carrying medicines. You’ll organise patient deliveries and prescription collections from doctors’ surgeries, ensuring everything is handled carefully and confidentially.

    You’ll:

    • Complete daily vehicle safety checks, keeping your vehicle clean, safe and suitable for transporting medicines.

    • Plan and organise patient deliveries and prescription collections from doctors’ surgeries, ensuring journeys are completed efficiently and information is handled confidentially.

    • Handle medicines and prescriptions with care, maintaining patient privacy and following the correct procedures throughout the delivery and collection process.

    • Work closely with pharmacy colleagues to help coordinate deliveries and collections, communicate any issues and support a reliable service for patients.

There’s plenty of responsibility in this role. You’ll need to organise your time, work independently while out on the road and make sure every delivery and collection is completed with care and attention.

Making a difference, one delivery at a time

Being a Pharmacy Home Driver is about more than delivering medicines.

You’ll help our pharmacy team provide an important service to the community, supporting patients in accessing their prescriptions and giving them confidence that their medicines are being handled safely and professionally. Your reliability, discretion and attention to detail will help ensure patients receive the service they can depend on.

If you enjoy driving, take pride in being organised and reliable, and want to play a part in supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities, this could be the opportunity for you.
